Stephen Baldwin

Actor

One of Hollywood's best and busiest actors doesn't live there.

STEPHEN BALDWIN - actor, family man, born-again Christian - makes his home in upstate New York with his wife and two young daughters. Through an impressive body of work, he is one of the most sought-after male talents in film and television today. Still, his family and new-found faith are most important to him.

The youngest of the Baldwin brothers acting clan, Baldwin (37) is one of the few Hollywood actors versatile enough for key roles in everything from The Usual Suspects to Bio-Dome. A Massapequa, NY native, he gained notice in his teens as a successful opera singer before pursuing acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Before long, he was busy with roles in both film (Posse, 8 Seconds, A Simple Twist of Fate) and television (The Young Riders).

Equally adept at drama and comedy, Baldwin has appeared in over 60 films and been featured on such top-rated television shows as Fear Factor and Celebrity Mole. He has his own production company that is developing projects for television and the big screen. He is active in charity work for the Carol M. Baldwin Cancer Research Fund, and still finds time for such varied hobbies as billiards, sky diving and superbike racing.

These days, however, his role as director, co-producer and host of Livin' It - a cutting-edge skate video is bringing out his white hot passion for evangelism.

"Livin It is a hard-core look at some of the biggest talents in skateboarding and BMX who show kids that you can live this edgy lifestyle and do it for Jesus Christ," he says.

"I've always had a love for skateboarding and BMX - anything that's extreme - and when I saw what the Luis Palau organization was doing at their festivals, it was a God thing that we work together."

"So many kids today are lost and searching," says Baldwin. "We believe that The Breakthrough Ministry will connect with them and get them thinking about living their lives for Jesus Christ."

"For me, being born again was the most awesome thing that has ever happened in my life," he says. "And I'd had a pretty awesome life already."
