Stephen Ross, PhD is the Director of the Lester Fisher Center for the Study and Conservation of Apes at Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. With more than 20 years of experience studying animal behavior, he has taken the lead on Project ChimpCARE, facilitating policy change on behalf of privately-owned chimpanzees. Steve also serves as the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Chimpanzee Species Survival Plan (SSP) Chair and is Board Chair at Chimp Haven near Shreveport, Louisiana.
