Executive Director, Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America (BPAA)

Steve became Executive Director of BPAA in August 2009 and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising from the University of Kansas. He began his career with General Electric then spent six years with the Master Lock Company as Vice President of National Account Sales. After a brief time with Honeywell, the racing world called and Steve became Vice President of Sales of the National Hot Rod Association in California. The NHRA is the world’s largest motorsports sanctioning body.

Steve then served as President and CEO of the Sports Car Club of America for five years which is the leading automotive non-profit membership organization in the world, consisting of 110 regions, 64,000 members, 50 full-time staff and two for-profit subsidiaries.

The CHAMP Car World Series (CART) was Steve’s next pit stop where he served for three years as President and CEO. At CART Steve secured the long term success of professional open-wheel racing in North America by facilitating the merger of the CHAMP Car World Series and the Indy Racing League in March 2008.

Steve has also served as Director for the International Motorsports Hall of Fame.
