Steven Hu is a Ph.D. candidate in the Religious Studies department at University of California Santa Barbara. Born in Taiwan and brought up in New York and New Jersey, Steven's research examines the intersections of religious and secular spheres of social life. He is currently conducting research on civil society and Protestant Christianity in China's urban centers.
