Steven Hyland Jr. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History and Political Science at Wingate University. He often travels to Latin America and researches, teaches and writes about the Americas, migration, race/ethnicity, and nationalism. His current book project examines the Syrian-Lebanese immigrant communities in northwestern Argentina during the first half of the twentieth century. He was a Fulbright Scholar to Syria.
