Steven Weinberg

Casey Scieszka grew up in Brooklyn but has lived in the likes of Beijing and Timbuktu with Steven Weinberg, a D.C. native. She’s a writer, he’s an illustrator and together they work on books, graphic design and fine art which you can check out at telephoneandsoup.com. They also run a small nonprofit called Local Language Literacy that is dedicated to creating, printing, and distributing books in languages like Bambara and Wolof to students in West and North Africa.
