Founder and chief executive officer, WalkStyles, Inc. and co-author, 'iCount: 10 Simple Steps to a Healthy Life'

Sue Parks is a corporate wellness expert. She is the founder and chief executive officer of WalkStyles, Inc. and co-author of iCount: 10 Simple Steps to a Healthy Life. Parks and her co-author, Patricia Bonavia, offer realistic advice on how to maintain a healthy life while meeting the demands of corporate responsibilities. Their STAR™ method lays out steps to Set, Track and Achieve daily wellness goals and Reward success.

Parks developed her concepts about corporate wellness while serving in top executive positions at USWest, Gateway and Kinkos. In her corporate life, Parks successfully led multi-billion dollar P&Ls and workforces up to 18,000 employees.

Parks’ company, WalkStyles, Inc. has developed the iCount™ Wellness system for corporate clients to help companies nurture a healthier, more productive and vibrant workforce. Due to iCount’s combination of a robust platform, experienced people, customized programs and a proven process, the company actively engages employees in living healthier. Thus, the employees are more productive and the company has a healthier bottom-line. In 2012, Parks signed an agreement with Johns Hopkins HealthCare LLC to, in part, license health information developed by Johns Hopkins faculty to support iCount clients.

In addition to her business life, Parks is an active volunteer. She served as chair of the United Way Worldwide’s health initiative. She is co-founder of the Women’s Philanthropy Fund with Orange County’s United Way. She serves on the Orange County non-profit boards of the United Way, Susan G. Komen, and the Girl Scouts. She is the 2014 chair of Women’s Wellness Day for the Susan Samueli Center of Integrative Medicine for UCI.
