Susan Jane Gilman is the New York Times bestselling author of three nonfiction books: Undress Me in the Temple of Heaven (2009), Hypocrite in a Pouffy White Dress (2005), and Kiss My Tiara (2001). The Ice Cream Queen of Orchard Street is her fiction debut. She has an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Michigan, and her writing has appeared in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and Ms. magazine, among others.
