Susan Naimark is the author of the newly released The Education of a White Parent: Wrestling with Race and Opportunity in the Boston Public Schools (Levellers Press). She served eight years on the City of Boston’s school board, and was a founder of the Boston Parent Organizing Network. Naimark is an independent consultant and trainer who works with community-based organizations, nonprofit and public agencies, focusing in the areas of community building, public education and racial justice organizing.
