Susie Johnson lives in Connecticut and has somehow managed to stay married for ten years while simultaneously keeping seven children alive under her roof.

Two years ago she started the blog www.not-your-average-mom.com in the hopes of preserving her sanity and giving moms and dads a place to come for a laugh. Or a break. Or just a moment to realize they are not alone.

Her writing is honest and open and raw, and she often writes about the things that people are thinking but are afraid to admit. She will make you laugh, cry and think, sometimes all in one post.
