Tamara Azar

Tamara Azar leads external relations for the National Center for Teacher Residencies (formerly Urban Teacher Residency United). NCTR works with districts, states, institutions of higher education, and non-profit organizations to expand teacher residency preparation nationwide so that all new teachers enter the classroom ready to meet students' needs on day one. Tamara advocates for policies that support and facilitate the scale and sustainability of teacher residency programs—especially NCTR's national Network of partner programs—within the changing landscape of state and federal education teacher policy. She is based in Washington, DC.
