Tammy Warren is the President of Warren PR & Consulting, where she helps to make the dreams of her clients come true through innovative and strategic public relations. She’s one to watch as she continues to build her roster of film, television, music and sports stars. Passion is her biggest motivation when it comes to deciding whom she works with. Since Warren PR & Consulting’s inception in 2011, Tammy has had the pleasure of working with Jada Pinkett Smith & Will Smith for Obama 2012, Overbrook Entertainment, Roc Nation, Dwayne De Rosario, the MVP of Major League Soccer, Designer Cookie Johnson, Recording Artist Kenny Lattimore, Casting Director Robi Reed, Los Angeles Laker Brandon Bass, Actor Lamman Rucker (Greenleaf), Actress Tina Lifford (Queen Sugar), Recording Artist Anthony Hamilton, Author Sister Souljah, Author Marquita Smith, Recording Group After 7, Uptown Magazine, the Clara Lionel Foundation, the HollyRod Foundation, the Lisa Leslie Basketball & Leadership Academy, the 3rd Annual Baron Davis All Star Kickball game, In A Perfect World (IAPW) Foundation and the Association of Black Foundation Executives (ABFE). Tammy Warren has over 17 years of publicity and consulting experience. She began her career as the Publicity Manager at LaFace Records in Atlanta, Georgia under the direction of Antonio “L.A.” Reid and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds. She had the unique opportunity to work with platinum selling artists Usher, Pink, Toni Braxton, OutKast and TLC. She was responsible for creating publicity campaigns, writing press releases, writing biographies for artists and executives, generating PR budgets, coordinating photo shoots, television appearances and award show performances as well as the day-to-day person for the artist. While at LaFace, Tammy was also a key player in helping Sean “Diddy” Combs and Mr. Reid open Justin’s Restaurant in Atlanta. She credits Mr. Reid for leading her on a successful journey as a mentor and as one of her biggest fans. When Mr. Reid was tapped to run Arista Records in New York, Tammy regretfully declined to go with him in hopes of dreams come true in Los Angeles. California bound; Tammy landed at Magic Johnson Enterprises (MJE), where she stayed for 10 years, as Mr. Johnson’s Senior Director of Publicity heading all the public relations efforts for MJE, the Magic Johnson Foundation and all of his business entities, including his partnerships with Starbucks, Best Buy, Samsung, Hudson News, Dove, Burger King, 24 Hour Fitness, SodexoMagic, Adecco, Edison Learning and Vibe Holdings. She helped launch the award winning “I Stand with Magic” Campaign to End HIV/AIDS in the Black community – a partnership with Abbott. Under Tammy’s leadership, the campaign won over eight PR Awards including two Silver Anvil’s presented by the Public Relations Society of America. Over the course of Tammy’s career, she has booked top-tier media outlets including The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Tonight Show, Larry King Live, The Today Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, MTV, BET, CNN, USA Today, Newsweek, Forbes Magazine, The New York Post and The New York Times. Adding, fashionista to her many titles, Tammy helped Cookie Johnson launch her premium denim line CJ by Cookie Johnson as America’s new favorite jeans. Tammy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Communications from Eastern Michigan University. She is a member of several organizations, including the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Public Relations for the Entertainment Industry and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Tammy is also a blogger for The Huffington Post. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
