Dr. Tanya Rawal-Jindia is currently a professor of gender, sustainability, media and cultural studies at University of California, Riverside. Her research focuses on the effects of the War on Terror in minority communities, the consequences of agribusiness in India and Italy, and women's protest culture. In 2015 she started the Saree, Not Sorry campaign, which aims to use fashion as a way to speak back to anti-immigration discourse in the United States.
