English teacher and blogger
The Didactic Pirate is the pretentious pseudonym of a 41-year-old blogger living in Southern California. He is an English teacher in the Cal State University system, and a fiction writer who's been publishing short stories in various literary journals for over 15 years. He's currently at work on a novel, but finds maintaining his small corner of the blogosphere to be a wonderful distraction. He's also a contributor to DadCentric, a collective of dad bloggers, and Culture Brats, a group of pop culture obsessives bonded by their affection for the 80s.
