Saralyn Ward

Mountain Mama, Daydream Believer and Creator of The Mama Sagas

Saralyn Ward's love of writing began in the 5th grade, when Mr. Miller taught her about "color words." She wrote her first book on the pages of a New Kids on the Block notebook, and has enjoyed writing about her multiple passions ever since. After graduating from Penn State with a degree in Dance and Kinesiology, Saralyn moved to New York, NY to teach the Pilates method and pursue a career on television and the Broadway stage. After a few years of call-backs and commercials, Saralyn and her husband Tom decided to leave the NYC concrete and clouds behind and moved to Colorado for a life of mountain adventure. These days, Saralyn pours her passion for educating and empowering women into her work as the force behind The Mama Sagas, a digital video series that celebrates the raw beauty and humor in the imperfect moments of motherhood. She hosts a regular TV segment on Colorado's Everyday Show, a live morning broadcast filmed in Denver. In her teaching, producing and writing, Saralyn aims to inspire and empower people of all ages, ability levels and physical conditions to live a life of fulfillment and wonder. When she’s not making her daydreams a reality, Saralyn is trying to remember that the two little girls that call her mom are not the boss of her.
