Theodore L. Caputi graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 2017 and first in his class with a Master of Public Health from University College Cork, where he was a Mitchell Scholar. He researches substance use disorders and has published in journals such as Journal of the American Medical Association, American Journal of Preventive Medicine, and American Journal of Public Health. He was recently awarded a Marshall Scholarship for graduate study in the UK.
