Thulile Gamedze is an artist, activist, writer, and member of the collective iQhiya, based in Cape Town, South Africa. She is currently studying a Masters degree at the University of Cape Town, researching and practicing creative and experimental learning methodologies framed as urgent artistic and political interventions. She has published in local and international art-based, activist, and news platforms, as a voice exploring politics through the lens of the tensions of the South African art scene, and has a continued involvement in activating and intervening creatively in spaces existing outside of the art institution.
