Tiziana C. Dearing

Professor of Practice

Tiziana C. Dearing is an accomplished leader in the nonprofit, academic, and business sectors. She has deep experience in poverty, philanthropy, and nonprofit leadership and has dedicated her career to clearing a path for the rising class. Tiziana is a Professor of Practice at the Boston College School of Social Work. Before joining BC, Tiziana served as CEO of a start-up antipoverty fund. She also was the first woman president of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Boston, and was formerly the executive director of the Hauser Center for Nonprofit Organizations at Harvard University. She started her career with more than a decade of consulting to Fortune 500 companies and nonprofit organizations. Tiziana is active in her community, serving on the board of directors of Community Resources for Justice, and on the advisory boards of 90.0 WBUR, the Rappaport Institute for Greater Boston, the Rappaport Center for Law and Public Policy, UTEC, and InnerCity Weightlifing. Tiziana holds a Master's in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan.
