Artist, curator and founder of Blue Tangerine Art

Trudy Montgomery is an artist, curator and founder of Blue Tangerine Art, an independent art advisory firm. Born in the UK, Trudy has lived and worked in England, France and the United States, and brings an international perspective to her work in contemporary art. Avoiding 'artspeak' that trips up most beginners, Trudy is passionate about helping new collectors identify their own taste in art. Since moving to California in 1999, Trudy founded Blue Tangerine Art, curated and produced exhibitions championing new talent and served on the Council of SFMoMA's SECA auxiliary group as Co-Chair of Accessions and Collections. Following an education in political science, Trudy worked for many years in corporate communications in London and Silicon Valley. Her art education spans from Sotheby’s Institute in London to Otis College of Art & Design in Los Angeles. Her work is exhibited internationally: www.trudymontgomery.com.
