Trungram Gyalwa Rinpoche is a visionary leader, renowned scholar, meditation master and international speaker, widely recognized for his ability to modernize ancient Buddhist teachings for today’s challenges. He is dedicated to the value of education in bringing wisdom to life, focusing on the fundamental principle that emotional and physical wellbeing are interconnected and equally essential. He fosters this knowledge through multiple channels, supporting the intellectual, emotional and physical advancement of people the world over. To realize this vision, he has founded organizations throughout Asia and the United States, including the Trungram Gyalwa Foundation (2015), Buddhist Relief Services (2015), Monks & Merchants (2014), the World Center for Peace and Unity in Lumbini, Nepal (2011), the Dharmakaya Organization (2003), the United Trungram Buddhist Fellowship (UTBF) (1992), and the Trungram International Academy (1996). Rinpoche is the first incarnate lama to earn a PhD in the West, graduating from Harvard University in 2004. A Rimay Master, he was educated by the heads of Tibetan Buddhism’s four major lineages, and is Dharma teacher and spiritual leader of the monks and nuns of the Trungram lineage throughout Tibet, Nepal and India.
