High school senior in Newark
Born and raised in the city of Newark by a single mother, Umar Umaru Abare is currently a high school senior. He is a mentor to a number of freshmen in his school, the vice president of the student body, one of the leading members of the Islamic cultural group of his school and he is graduating as a member of the national honors society. He has been accepted to over ten colleges and universities across the nation and has made the decision to attend Seton Hall University in the fall as a member of the pre-med program. Umar dreams of becoming a surgeon some day and being a loving family man.
