Vanessa Gonzalez-Plumhoff

Director of Latino Leadership and Engagement, Planned Parenthood

Vanessa Gonzalez-Plumhoff, MSW, MPA, is Director of Latino Leadership and Engagement at Planned Parenthood Federation of America/Planned Parenthood Action Fund. She is a native Texan, with an extensive political, campaign, communications and direct-service experience in the Southwest region. Most recently, she served as a social worker in Phoenix, providing in-home therapy and case management to low-income and immigrant families. She also served in then-Governor Janet Napolitano’s administration as Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs. Vanessa also served as Communications Director for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. Vanessa holds a B.A. in Communications and Political Science from Sul Ross State University and Master’s degrees in Social Work and Public Administration from Arizona State University.
