Entrepreneur and humanitarian activist for Greeks and Cypriots affected by the eurozone crisis
Vasilis Georgiou is an entrepreneur and humanitarian activist in Orange County, CA. Vasilis has two passions: Helping business executives and management professionals across the Country buy franchises that best fit their needs, and helping people affected by the financial crisis in his ancestral Countries of Greece and Cyprus.
Vasilis spent a number of years as a Senior Manager with BearingPoint (formerly KPMG Consulting) where he advised and guided mid-sized businesses. Additionally, he spent over 11 years as an owner of a business brokerage firm with a record of over 60 successful business transactions.
Most recently, Mr. Georgiou, owned and operated a top-rated health care services franchise in Orange County, California, which he successfully grew into a top 10 performing office in the 140+ unit system.
Last year, together with his wife Anastasia, Vasilis created Athena Humanitarian Relief (www.athenahumanitarianrelief.org), a non-profit organization based in the US, with the purpose of providing relief to people in Greece and Cyprus who have been severely affected by the financial crisis there.
