Vikas Pota is the Chief Executive of the Varkey GEMS Foundation - a not-for-profit organization, established to improve the standards of education for underprivileged children.
The Varkey GEMS Foundation builds new classrooms and centers of learning, addresses global teaching capacity and seeds excellence and innovation in the next generation of educators.
Partners of the Foundation include UNESCO, Clinton Global Initiative and Pratham.
Vikas has also been selected as a 'Young Global Leader' by the World Economic Forum - joining the prestigious programme of 2013.
In a voluntary capacity, Vikas is a founding member of an annual social action day. The grassroots campaign seeks to promote volunteering & public service in local communities around the world.
