Virginia Sarah is the Global Partnership Executive at The Fred Hollows Foundation and Chair of The International Coalition for Trachoma Control. A strategic and operational specialist, Virginia has been working for over 20 years on program planning and design, project implementation and management, stakeholder communications and policy and organisational development for initiatives in Australia and throughout Africa, Asia and the Pacific. She drives The Fred Hollows Foundation’s commitment to the global elimination of trachoma by 2020, effective coordination of trachoma initiatives within national health systems, and, through the International Coalition for Trachoma Control, support for the development of globally applied preferred practices on surgery and water, hygiene and sanitation (WASH).
