Walton Cook is the author of the political bio-thriller, Buzzword, published by Public Policy Press in 2001. Buzzword is the world's first book on the biological control of narcotics producing plants, specifically the coca shrub and the opium poppy.

Mr. Cook is a 40 year writer/producer of film and video. He has won both national and international awards, including the Cine Golden Eagle. Films include Race Against Time, with noted author Tom Peters; Amusement Park, a film on problems of aging, directed by George Romero, Challenge of Manufacturing, on manufacturing careers with Intel's Craig Barrett, Come Work With Us, on hiring the handicapped, and TV sports documentary films The Steel Curtain (Pittsburgh Steelers front four), Thank God, I'm a Country Boy (Terry Bradshaw) and I'm Back: The Rocky Bleier Story. He is a 1956 graduate of Penn State University, majoring in political science. He writes on political and social issues.
