Whiskey Tortoise is a writer of nonfiction, romance, and erotica, and the interviews editor for a Manhattan-based magazine. Her work has appeared, under a different name, in Tin House, Guernica, The Rumpus, Lumina, Shameless Magazine, and One Cool Word.

Whiskey Tortoise grew up in Montreal, and after moving to the West Coast for college, she came to New York to be a writer, and to earn her Masters of Fine Arts in Writing from Sarah Lawrence College. Whiskey lives in Brooklyn, where she muses on the powers of a broken heart.
