Whitney You

Assistant Professor of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and an OpEd Project Public Voices Fellow at Northwestern University

Dr. You is a fellow with Northwestern's Public Voices Thought Leadership Program which is partnered with the OpEd Project. In 2007, Dr. You completed training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Uniformed Services Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She then went to Northwestern University for a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) fellowship. While she was an MFM fellow, she received an MPH and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in health services research with a focus in health literacy. Dr. You went on to serve a military obligation. She has returned to Northwestern and continues to care for high risk or complicated pregnancies. Her clinical interests include fetal diagnostics and maternal hypertensive disease. Her research is focused on literacy and how social determinants of health influence maternal morbidity.
