Will Shapiro

Will led Spotify’s Data Research group, a team he built from 4 to 15 interdisciplinary researchers over the course of 18 months. He came to Spotify via the acquisition of Seed Scientific, where he was the Head of Research. Will teaches courses on cities and data-driven design at Cooper Union, at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Will’s academic background is in architecture (Cooper Union) and mathematics, with a focus on topology (Brown University, Cambridge University, The University of Chicago).
