Xiu Min Li

social justice advocate and China observer

Xiu Min Li is a social justice advocate, blogger and generally a curious and overly opinionated roamer of this troubled planet.

Xiu has been a union organizer for over a decade working to improve working conditions for hotels workers then civil servants in San Francisco. She has also worked as a China Program Director at Pacific Environment and worked with grassroots NGOs to fight water pollution and promote public participation in environmental governance in China. Xiu’s passion lies in ensuring that communities and people’s voices are not silenced in the process of rapid and unchecked economic development.
