Yahia Lababidi’s latest book Balancing Acts: New & Selected Poems (Press 53, 2016) debuted at #1 on Amazon’s Hot New Releases, under Middle Eastern poetry. Lababidi’s first book Signposts to Elsewhere, a collection of original aphorisms, was selected as a 2008 Book of the Year by The Independent (UK). He has been featured on NPR, Best American Poetry, World Literature Today, On Being with Krista Tippett, The Guardian and Al Jazeera, among many other literary and cultural outlets. Further, Lababidi's writing has been translated into several languages; video-poems, based on his work, shown at film festivals, worldwide, and he has participated in international poetry festivals throughout the USA, Eastern Europe as well as the Middle East.
