Ms. Yolanda Shields is a seasoned global leader with in-depth experience, managing and training executive leaders to achieve growth and enhance their impact and leadership skills. She’s an engaging leader and proactive contributor who applies a consultative/coaching approach when working with her clients to help them deliver high-quality client services and reach their professional goals. She has over 20 years of experience as an executive leader and also does international workforce development and Social Entrepreneurship work in the continent of Africa and other 3rd World Countries. She has held several CEO positions where she coached and trained her management executive team members. After leaving those roles she has spent the last 10 years training and coaching executive leaders. She is a much sought-after speaker, coach, and trainer in the area of career development, entrepreneurship, nonprofit management, collaboration, diversity, and human capital management. She also does international executive coaching with social entrepreneurs and has traveled extensively throughout the United States, France, and Africa. She has earned a B.S. in Education and Social Work ~ MBA (Human Resource Management & Leadership/Entrepreneurship). Appointed by Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam to the Statewide Workforce Development Board for the State of Tennessee and Vice Chair of the Oversight committee. Yolanda’s first book released in September 2013 which included a 10 city tour in 2013-2014 across the United States, France and continent of Africa where she shared her inspirational book dedicated to “Mothers & Son’s” – “Letters to Our Sons” – A Mother’s Journey Raising Sons to Become Men with Character and Courage. Her 2nd Book focused on Entrepreneurship and Business Strategy released in February 2016 “Entrepreneurship is a Mind-Set, not a Storefront”.
