Television Producer, Author and Entrepreneur

Award-winning television producer, successful entrepreneur, and noted humanitarian, Yue-Sai Kan first won acclaim with her long-running series, Looking East, that introduced American audiences to Asian cultures for the first time. She also became a household name in China as host of One World, as well as other popular productions exploring the latest international lifestyle trends.

Moving from TV personality to businesswoman, Kan launched her Yue-Sai cosmetics brand in 1992 and grew the company into China's leading cosmetics maker. She also created a lifestyle retail brand, the House of Yue-Sai, as well as a line of Asian female dolls.

A longtime leader in charitable efforts, Kan established a fund that builds schools and provides scholarships to underprivileged high school and college students. She is also active in the Shanghai Soong Qing Ling Foundation, one of China's largest organizations dedicated to the advancement of women and children. In the latest of her best-selling books, 99 Ways to Live a Charmed Life, Kan dispenses a mix of advice intended to promote the all-round development of young women.
