Zach Wahls is a sixth-generation Iowan, an advocate for LGBTQ rights, an Eagle Scout and the founder of Scouts for Equality. His testimony about his family before the Iowa House Judiciary Committee was YouTube's most watched political video of 2011. He has appeared on The Daily Show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Situation Room, and The Late Show among other media outlets. He is Iowa's 2013 Truman Scholar and the author of the national bestseller My Two Moms: Lessons of Love, Strength and What Makes a Family. He lives in Iowa City, Iowa where he owns and operates a peer tutoring company.
