If you are an arts programming aficionado living in New York City, you may be mourning the days when a student ID was your golden (discount) ticket to the best of Broadway. Well, chin up theater goers! While rents are sky high and salaries remain stagnant, the city's best theaters have opened their doors to a slew of promotions for the new starving artist in NYC -- us rising young professionals. I've compiled a list of the ten best theater deals for 30-35 year olds ensuring that the show will most certainly go on.

30 & Under Membership @ Playwrights Horizons
A $20 membership to this intimate space right on 42nd St provides access to some of the best plays (and seats) in contemporary theater. Member tickets are $20, and you can purchase an additional ticket for an under 30 friend for $30. To top off this already sweet deal, the venue hosts several young patron events with free booze and food.

New Deal Tickets @ Theater for a New Audience
No membership fee required for this one. Simply enter code "NEWDEAL" at checkout and take your pick of $20 seats. You must show id at the box office, so make sure you aren't telling any white lies about your age.

Hiptix
Working with the Roundabout Theater Company, Hiptix offers $20 - $25 tickets to all Roundabout shows, including this year's coveted Cabaret with Alan Cumming and Michelle Williams. General membership is free to those under 35 and gets you fairly good seats in the mezzanine. For $75, you can upgrade to Hiptix Gold, guaranteeing you orchestra seats for any performance.

LincTix
This young patron program for 35 & under gets you $32 tickets to any Lincoln Center show on or off Broadway. Only one ticket per membership allowed, so make sure you enter your friends' membership number at checkout if you want to sit together.

Met Opera Student Tickets
Ok, so this deal is technically for students only, but for all you older graduate students (or former students with passable student IDs), you can still get a deal! Simply send a photo of your student ID to Met Opera and voila- $25 - $35 orchestra seats are yours. Tickets go fast, so checking the Met's website compulsively is a must.

Greenseats @ Irish Repertory Theater

MCC Theater at the Lucille Lortel Theater
$30 tickets for under 30s with promotional code 3030. You enter it at checkout. That's it folks!

Manhattan Theater Club (MTC)
This free membership gets you (2) tickets, and you can bring a guest of any age. Only catch - you have to join the theater's mailing list to be the first to know about their upcoming deals.

30 under 30 @ Second Stage Theater
More $30 tickets for, drum roll... patrons under 30! Simply purchase tickets online and select the "youth" price option. As always, photo ID is required at the box office for ticket pick up.

Symphony Space
This beloved UWS establishment is host to the wonderful Selected Shorts series, where short stories are read aloud by a rotating slew of celebrities. Hosted by BD Wong of Law and Order renown, past readers have included Alec Baldwin, Edie Falco and Miranda July.
Tickets are $15 for those 30 and under, and must be picked up in person at the box office.
