The Faces of Impact, an initiative launched by Impact Squared, is a network of 100 changemakers under the age of 25. Representing men and women from diverse backgrounds, this network is united by these young people’s efforts to transform society and make a positive impact. The Faces of Impact community brings together thought leaders from a range of industries and countries, recognising the significant advances they have already made in addition to their extraordinary potential.
From artists to entrepreneurs, scientists to philanthropists, the Faces of Impact have demonstrated excellence in their field. Whether developing robotic technology to assist with elderly care or founding a wildlife conservation charity, these young people are passionate about taking action and responsibility for their future.
Impact Squared held an open call for nominations and partnered with prominent organisations such as Global Citizen, the Resolution Project and +SocialGood, among others. Winners were selected based on three key criteria:
- Commitment to Social Good: individuals that are passionate about and actively support social causes and communities around the world.
- Leadership and innovation: individuals that have shown the ability to think creatively to solve our most pressing challenges.
- Ability to influence: individuals that amplify their social messages online, with the power to influence others within their social following, and have an active digital presence.
The class of 2017 represents a curated selection of innovative and socially-minded thinkers who are shaping their environment. These young people are creating solutions and leading the conversation to solve some of the world’s most challenging issues.
