Summertime, and the live music opportunities are plentiful. While festivals — where you can hear great tunes and end up in street style roundups in a single weekend — seem to dominate headlines in recent years, more and more musicians are banking on their nostalgic value to draw fans to big venues.

This summer, anyone looking to time travel need only journey to their nearest stadium to catch the likes of Blink-182, New Kids on the Block, Everclear, Toto, “Joshua Tree”-era U2 and more. Check out 11 acts you can catch on the road this summer.

These two bands — which you might associate more with your teen angst than the year 2017 — are joining forces to co-headline two shows this summer. If you've still got your clothes held together with safety pins somewhere in the back of your closet, make your way to Hersheypark Stadium or Citifield in late July.

It's been 20 years since "So Much for the Afterglow" was released, which means two things — we are feeling old, and now we have a chance to hear "Father of Mine" played live on one of Everclear's 26 North American dates this summer.

All these beloved pop acts are rolling into a stadium near you this summer as part of the Total Package Tour. There's still time to catch them as they move from the Pacific Northwest through the Midwest during the month of June. After that, the tour moves through the Northeast before finally heading down South in mid-July.

If you love nothing more than reminiscing about the good ol' days of POGs and "Waterfalls," perhaps you'll think the I Love the 90's tour, making its way around North America from June to September, is all that and a bag of chips. Big names on the lineup include TLC and Vanilla Ice, so don't forget to stop, collaborate and listen before you go.
Incubus and Jimmy Eat World

With their first album in six years coming out, rock band Incubus is hitting the road this summer. Along for the ride are Jimmy Eat World, the sensitive, guitar-wielding auteurs of "The Middle," among some other songs. Can you still feel the butterflies?

Do you have the time to catch Billie Joe & co. at one of their tour dates this summer? The punk mainstays are touring their 2016 album "Revolution Radio," so while the whole show won't be built on throwbacks, we're hoping they'll bust out some classics. They played "Basket Case" during their recent "Good Morning America" appearance, so there's hope.

U2 never leaves our consciousness long enough to merit a "throwback" tour, but here we are, in 2017, and "The Joshua Tree" is three decades old. Bono and co. think that rightfully merits a tour — they'll be making a few stops in the South and Northeast this summer.

Hold the line! Toto is touring, spending the months of June and August traveling through the States in order to ensure every last fan who wants to hear "Africa" live has the chance to do so.

We'll never be able to get Freddie Mercury back onstage, but there are still ample opportunities to celebrate Queen's music this summer as "American Idol" alum Adam Lambert and the rock legends hit the road throughout the U.S.

A few faves are coming together for a huge show called The Classic, happening two nights each in Los Angeles and New York. Journey, The Doobie Brothers and Earth, Wind & Fire round out the lineup.
Hall & Oates and Tears for Fears

Get your '80s on with the guys behind "Private Eyes" and "Everybody Wants to Rule the World." Tears for Fears have been on the road with Daryl Hall and John Oates, and will be in venues around the U.S. and Canada before just Hall and Oates head across the pond to England and Ireland in October.
