When Amazon launched in 1995, it sold only books. Now the largest online retailer sells millions of products. In fact, you might wonder if there's anything Amazon doesn't sell.
It's no secret that the company's founder and CEO, Jeff Bezos, wants Amazon to be an everything store. However, you might be surprised at some of the things the retailer sells. Here are 15 things you might not expect to find on Amazon -- but can.

1. Live Ladybugs
Plenty of people would pay to avoid bugs, but you can actually buy them on Amazon. Kyle James, founder of Rather-Be-Shopping.com, said you can get 1,356 live lady bugs for about $5.
"Ladybugs are the 'good' bugs that you want in your garden or flower bed, as they eat other bugs that like to eat your plants," he said. Considering that a 16-ounce bottle of insect spray can cost $12 and up, ladybugs can be a cheaper, chemical-free way to rid your garden of pests.
2. Furniture Assembly
You can actually hire someone through Amazon to help assemble furniture that you order from the online retailer -- or purchase anywhere. This is just one of the many services Amazon now offers in large cities, said Kristin Cook, managing editor of deal site Ben's Bargains.
"You can make an appointment for furniture assembly, house cleaning, yard work and more, and pay right from your Amazon account," she said.
Amazon claims to have picked the best service professionals for its Home Services marketplace, which was launched in March 2015 and is available in 25 cities. Prices for services vary. The benefit of Amazon Home Services is that you can see reviews of the professionals, all of which are required to be background-checked, insured and licensed.
3. Goat Grazing Service
Amazon now offers a goat grazing service to help you maintain your land, said Amy Chang, lifestyles savings expert at Slickdeals. That's right, you can hire someone through Amazon to bring goats to your property to munch invasive plants.
The goat grazing service is part of the new Amazon Home Services and is available only in select cities. Prices for the service can vary. "Service pros will review requests and respond with estimates within one business day," Chang said.
4. Pre-Filled Communion Cups
If you can't make it to church, you can take communion at home thanks to Amazon. You can order 100 cups of juice for communion for about $22, James said. His grandmother actually orders these small, sealed cups of grape juice and uses them when she can't attend Sunday service. The Fellowship Cup package also includes communion wafers.
5. Niche Collector's Items (or Lightsabers)
The online retailer carries practically every kind of collectible item imaginable. "If you can think of it, Amazon probably has it," Cook said.
For example, "Star Wars" fans can recreate scenes from their favorite film with collectibles sold on Amazon. Cook said she found a replica of a lightsaber selling for $15,000. Be sure to shop around, though. Another replica lightsaber was selling for about $1,000.
6. Pound of Fat Replica
Talk about a conversation piece or motivation to stick to a diet: You can order a replica of one pound of human body fat on Amazon for about $18.
"It literally weighs one pound and represents the way fat looks and feels in the human body," Chang said. "The visual aspect is enough to gross anyone out and keep you on the right diet track."
Actually, it's meant to be a visual aid for teachers. There are a variety of similar models and teaching tools on Amazon.
7. Real Human Skull
This is no replica. You can get an actual human skull on Amazon for $2,000, James said. Plus, it comes with a carrying case (but is not eligible for Amazon Prime -- sorry).
"Maybe you're a science teacher and this would be a great display in your class. Or maybe you just collect odd things," James said. "In any case, this certainly is a strange item to be sold by Amazon." It's actually sold by one of Amazon's third-party sellers, which offers a variety of other human and animal bones.
8. Restaurant Meals
You might have heard that Amazon delivers groceries in select cities through its AmazonFresh offering. Now the online retailer is venturing into delivering restaurant meals.
Amazon started delivering restaurant meals in Seattle in September 2015. Now Amazon Prime members in Austin, Baltimore, Chicago, Los Angeles, Portland, San Diego and Seattle can get free one-hour delivery from select restaurants.
9. Amazon Allowance
You can keep your spending in check with this little-known service from Amazon that's been around since June 2015, Chang said. It's like a digital allowance that lets you set a monthly budget for yourself, or others, for shopping on Amazon. For example, you can give an Amazon Allowance to your kids who are in college to help them pay for books, toiletries and other necessities, Chang said.
To use Amazon Allowance, you add funds to an Amazon gift card on a one-time or regular basis. If you want, you can use it to save up money for a big purchase or holiday shopping.
10. Customized Items
Amazon offers a surprising number of items that can be personalized with a company name, team name or your own name. Cook said. For example, she found T-shirts that could be personalized for just $10. This can be a good option for someone who wants to order just a small number of promotional items rather than making a bulk purchase, she said.
11. All-Things Wedding
Everything you need for an inexpensive wedding is right at your fingertips on Amazon. Cook said that the retailer sells a large variety of wedding dresses in the $50 to $200 range. It also offers many nice, low-cost DIY decor kits that are similar to items you'd find on Etsy for a much higher price, she said.
You also can find favors, cake toppers, invitations and, of course, engagement rings -- some of which are less than $1,000.
12. Coyote Urine
As strange of a product as it might seem, coyote urine actually is useful. James said it can be used as a natural repellent for raccoons or other small predators. And you can get 4 ounces of it for about $8 on Amazon.
"I used this last summer and it worked like a charm, or maybe the raccoon decided he didn't like the taste of my chickens," James said. "But in any case, he never came back."
13. Cut-Resistant Gloves
Clumsy in the kitchen? You can get cut-resistant gloves on Amazon to avoid slicing your fingers.
"These durable gloves can be worn while cutting, chopping, slicing, peeling, grating, oyster-shucking and more," Change said. "With over 4,700 reviews at an average of 4.8 stars and only $11.99, making these a staple in your kitchen is a no-brainer."
14. Glow-in-the-Dark Toilet Paper
Hopefully, you already know that you can buy toilet paper on Amazon. It's one of the many products eligible for the retailer's Subscribe & Save feature that lets you save 15 percent when you schedule regular shipments of products. But Amazon's offerings aren't just limited run-of-the-mill white toilet paper.
Although it's not available for Subscribe & Save, you can buy glow-in-the-dark toilet paper. "At $9 a pop, it's not cheap, but it's definitely something to talk about," Chang said. You also can get toilet paper that looks like $100 bills and "Dump Trump" Donald Trump toilet paper.
15. Monk Delivery
Believe it or not, you can order a monk on Amazon if you live in Japan. Amazon Japan recently started providing monks to perform memorial services for about $300, Forbes reported.
The service has been criticized by the Japanese Buddhist Federation, but it comes at a price that's lower than what Japanese would pay to have a memorial service at a temple, according to Forbes.
