All the turrets and tree-lined streets you can handle, this weekend! On Saturday, the Bloomingdale Civic Association is hosting its third biannual house tour and art show.

The Fresh, Fierce & Fabulous House Tour and Art Show includes nine houses, and a mix of the neighborhood's evolving architectural styles -- the featured houses includes a number of restored Victorian and Federal-style row houses, and a public school-cum-1,200 sq. ft. condo.

Loretta Smith, a member of the house tour committee, told The Huffington Post that one reason for the house tour is to get people who don't already live in Bloomingdale excited about the neighborhood she's been living in since 1998.

"I am thrilled that people will be able to come to Bloomingdale and see the potential of the houses," she said.

The house tour is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. -- the tour starts at 1st Street NW and Rhode Island Avenue.

The two-day art show, featuring 14 Bloomingdale artists including Sean Hennesey, Andrew Cresman, Suzanne des Marais, and Tom Noll -- whose house, at 23 T St. NW, is also featured on the tour -- will take place on Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the 410 GooDBuddY gallery (410 Florida Ave. NW).

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 on the day of the tour. They can be purchased online, and at Windows Cafe and Market and Big Bear Cafe. Rain date -- and knock wood you won't need it -- is Sunday, October 16.
