2014 Golden Globe Nominations Announcement Led By Zoe Saldana, Olivia Wilde, Aziz Ansari

The nominees for the 2014 Golden Globe Awards were made public on Thursday morning. The TV shows and movies up for awards were announced by Zoe Saldana, Olivia Wilde, and Aziz Ansari in Los Angeles.

Among the honorees were "12 Years A Slave," "Girls," and "American Hustle."

Last year's 70th annual Golden Globe Awards were dominated in the film category by "Les Misérables." The adaptation took home three awards: Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, Best Actor - Musical or Comedy for Hugh Jackman, and Best Supporting Actress for Anne Hathaway.

The TV category at the 2013 awards was led by the HBO telefilm "Game Change" and Showtime's "Homeland." "Game Change," about Sarah Palin's role in the 2008 election, won Best Actress in a Miniseries or Television Film for Julianne Moore, Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Miniseries, or Television Film for Ed Harris, and Best Miniseries or Television Film. "Homeland" took home Best Actor in a Television Series - Drama for Damian Lewis, Best Actress in a Television Series - Drama for Claire Danes and Best Drama.

The 71st annual Golden Globes will be held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif. on Jan. 12, 2014. The awards show, hosted by "SNL" alums Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, will air on NBC.
