2014 Outkast Album Not Happening, Says Big Boi

Bad News For Outkast Fans

Rappers Big Boi and André 3000 are finally reuniting as Outkast for the 20th anniversary of the Grammy-winning hip-hop group. The pair will play more than 40 shows, hitting major music festivals across the country.

The reunion has sparked speculation that André and Big Boi will release their first album as Outkast since 2006, when the duo debuted "Idlewild." According to Big Boi himself, however, that is not the plan.

"No, no, no. We're just doing the tour only, just for the fans," Big Boi said when asked by Revolt TV if there was an album in the works. "That's all it is, just the tour ... It's just the Outkast 20th year anniversary, just a way for us to celebrate with our fans," the rapper continued. "But there's no album in the works, no."

Check out Big Boi's interview with Revolt TV below and catch Outkast at various festivals in the coming months, including Coachella, Governors Ball and Sasquatch.
