Everyday the crowdfunding industry is gaining more and more popularity worldwide. Through crowdfunding, individuals can utilize the power of the crowd to start a business, bring a product to market, produce a record, and even fundraise for amazing causes. Millennials in particular have embraced crowdfunding as a way to donate to important causes. Below are three crowdfunding campaigns for amazing causes.

1.) Let's Rally for Nepal Earthquake Victims

Last month, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake shook Nepal, killing more than 8,000 people and injuring nearly 20,000 others. Not long after, another large earthquake hit the country causing more deaths and injuries.

One group is using Rally.org to raise money to help earthquake victims. Effect International has partnered with local entrepreneurs in Nepal and was able to quickly mobilize 125 volunteers, 75 motorbikes, and eight vehicles importing and exporting supplies. The team also purchased food, medical supplies and 1,500 tents each day.

As Effect International's CEO, Casey Allred says, the people in Nepal are now preparing for monsoon season, and if they don't act quickly, then there will be many more illnesses from different diseases from the rain and people being exposed to the elements.

2.) Help Tilt This Campaign to Stop Child Sex Trafficking

Curtresse Pettaway has one of the most unique and heartfelt birthday requests. With Pettaway's 30th birthday approaching, she isn't asking for gifts for herself. The only gift she wants, is for others to help her raise money through her Tilt campaign to stop child sex trafficking and get victims the help they desperately need. The money will benefit Georgia Cares, a nonprofit organization working to help child sex trafficking victims across the Georgia. The organization is the only statewide coordinating agency that connects services and treatment for victims.

3.) Help Fund this Much-Needed Aids Service Organization

Earlier this month, TJ Powell started a crowdfunding campaign on GoFundMe with the hope of raising enough money to start "Hope Osceola," a nonprofit AIDS Service Organization (ASO) to serve the Orlando area. Powell says Hope Osceola will care for HIV/AIDS diagnosed people regardless of race, sex, sexuality, disability. Florida currently has the second most pediatric AIDS cases reported in the United States. Orlando, Florida in particular, has the eighth highest HIV rate among major U.S. cities.

The support for Powell's cause has been impressive. In just 17 days, he has been able to raise more than half of his goal and BET comedian, Shawn Harris has even committed to performing at a Hope Osceola benefit event in July.
