In anticipation of the new “Grimm” Season 6 on NBC this fall, we captured three backstage interviews with cast members Bitsie Tulloch (“The Artist”), Claire Coffee (“The West Wing”) and Bree Turner (“The Ugly Truth”) at Comic-Con 2016. They just started filming, and there is a lot of speculation about how the final 13 episodes will unfold. To capture clues, watch our behind-the-scenes VIDEO: Bitsie Tulloch Grimm Backstage gives Season 6 Sneak Peek.

In this series, Nick Burkhardt (played by David Giuntoli, “13 Hours”) is a Portland detective, who has seen some gruesome crime scenes, but is not prepared for the strange visions he begins seeing. There are “seemingly” regular people who momentarily transform into hideous monsters. We learn that Nick has inherited the ability to see supernatural creatures, and as a “Grimm,” his job is to keep the peace between mankind and the mythological.

Reflecting on the past five seasons, Bitsie Tulloch confessed that it’s been hard to play three characters on the show, including “Evil Juliette, Kind Juliette and Eve.” Overall, she has loved the experience, and added, “I’m really happy to be back.”

When asked about where the new season might go, Bitsie expanded, “Since Season 6 is a pickup of where 5 left off, it was still Eve. We don’t know what’s going on with her. All we know is that the platinum wig fell off, and she’s clearly starting to feel at least some emotion and perhaps guilt. So that’s truly something that I think over the course of Season 6 will get resolved, not necessarily right off the bat.”

When we spoke to Claire Coffee VIDEO (Adalind Schade) about the shorter season, she added more insights, “They haven’t even told us if it’s just 13 (episodes), and they keep dangling more episodes this season so we try not to second guess … when we’re together … The great thing … 13 episodes allows us to keep the drama really tight. And so that’s great because all the episodes are going to be super jam-packed with information, with action. And for me, what I’ve seen so far is it’s super jam-packed with Adalind getting more time to spend with the gang, and that’s always what I want is to get to hang out and spend time with my friends.”

Bree Turner VIDEO (Rosalee Calvert) then provided insights on her character who “can do anything supposedly.” Bree dug even deeper on Season 6 by sharing, “We start production next week. We’ve seen the first three scripts, and we pickup right where we left off … And now basically Nick is a wanted man clearly. And it’s just that balance, especially for Monroe and Rosalee, how involved do they want to be … Now, they’re all in with Nick, but it’s always worrisome to Rosalee in particular, being exposed in this way. Now they’re fully exposed to the world, and they’re on the number one kill list. Everyone is working very urgently to get some spells.”

Towards the end of these interviews, Bitsie reflected, “I know we’re doing a shorter season, but it’s going to be 123 episodes by the time we’re done, and we would not be here without the support and loyalty of the fans. So thank you.”
