Okay, I get it. Things are grim for a lot of people right now — for some of us, we’re still reeling in a state of disbelief at the state of our country. It’s easy for us to despair or get depressed about current affairs. But, as a Muslim woman, I’m here to tell you that there is no time for that right now. At this moment, there are people like me that need your support. And you are in the perfect position to give it in a way that will actually make a difference.

One of the #1 questions I receive as the editor-in-chief of MuslimGirl.com is, “What can allies do to help?” The short answer is a lot. Small actions as simple as checking your friends could have an effect that ripples outward.

In this video, I share three easy ways that allies can help Muslim women, right here, right now, from wherever you are — even your couch! Click play and hear me out, just like the video advises you to do, and hit share. You never know who you could be helping and how you can be making a difference.

In times like these, we have to remember that we are each other’s keeper — it’s the only way we will progress.
