350.org's International Day Of Climate Action On October 24th: Everything You Need To Know

October 24th, 2009 is a very important day -- 350.org has organized an international day of climate action, to show the world's leaders that there is a global movement for them to come to an agreement on a carbon emissions treaty at the UN Climate talks in Copenhagen in December. 350.org is named after the number that scientists think is upper level of parts per million of safe carbon dioxide in the atmosphere -- we have already passed this number, making action all the more critical.

Everyone can and (and should!) get involved in these important actions. If you are attending or organizing one of these events, send us your photos and video clips using the upload tools below. Click "Participate" for photos and "Upload Your Story" for videos.

Check out 350.org's wordless video explaining the movement.

Here is a map of actions already planned for around the world.
