Living in the information age life can be so busy at times that it's overwhelming. There are only so many hours in the day to get everything done especially if you have dreams and goals you need to pursue. Here are four tips to help you prioritize things in your life more easily.

1. Keep a small circle of friends

Instead of collecting friends, decide to keep a small circle of friends. This is a good idea for a couple of reasons. Having too many friends and acquaintances is time-consuming. If you have more than a couple of people texting you all day, you're going to be so busy replying that you have no time for anything else. Another benefit to decluttering your friends is that you can remove toxic people from your life. Removing the gossips and complainers and the frenemies will allow you to have more peace in your life. These types of people can be time and energy vampires. Surround yourself with good people who inspire you to level up.

2. Identify your goals

Think about each area of your life and decide what's most important to you in each area. If you've been wanting to lose weight, make that a health and wellness priority. If you want to strengthen your relationship with your partner, make spending time together each day your priority above sitting on your phone playing games or texting your friends. If you want to move up in your career, or start that business idea figure out what you have to do to make that happen. Your goals in life should be your priorities. Revisit your goals every week writing them down always helps so you don't forget what you're working towards.

3. Reduce distractions

Distractions are things that waste your time and take your attention away from what you would prefer to be focusing on. Think about how you spend your time after you come home from work and on weekends. Do you sit on your phone or watch TV for hours? It might be fun at the time, but there are probably other things you'd rather do with your time. There's nothing wrong with relaxing for a while, but you don't have to relax until you go to bed. If you have goals, you have to prioritize them. If you ever use the excuse that you don't have time to work on your goals, take an honest look at how you spend your time.

4. Self-discipline

When you're working toward your goal, self-discipline is important. You won't always have someone looking over your shoulder forcing you to work. You won't always have the support and encouragement you need to keep you motivated and inspired. You can never expect to rely on someone else to keep you going. That's your job. If you want to achieve something badly enough, you will find ways to keep yourself going. You will create a schedule that works for you. You will be determined enough to overcome obstacles. With your self-disciplined attitude, you will find success.

Remember you have to be very strict with yourself and make sacrifices when needed to stick to your routine especially with your goals. Success is in the eye of the beholder, theses are habits and skills you can learn and implement to help you to be more successful. The status of your success is in your hands, only you can create the life you deserve.
