If you like mountains and challenging hikes, then this is a must-do while in Sapa. A cable car is currently under construction (to be completed in 2 years) that will travel from Sapa Town all the way to the top of Fansipan. Do this hike before the peak is overrun with tourists and development. Learn more.

Catch a sunrise at the world's largest religious monument for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. You'll probably share thi experience with many others, but it won't detract at all. After sunrise, I'd recommend avoiding the main Angkor Wat temple and instead heading out to explore some of the other temples while everyone else is preoccupied. Learn more.

Take some time to explore around the park but make sure you make it to the overlook in time for sunset. The sun sets over the mountain range across the valley, and the fading light paints the town and surrounding area with an array of color. Learn more.
