Manifestation is a trendy word these days. What it actually means is using the power of your thoughts and feelings to "attract" things into your life.

The biggest factor in manifesting is how you feel. When you're feeling really good, good things happen to you.
So the goal isn't necessarily to bring material things into your life. The goal is actually to feel good.

Focusing on feeling good can give you a huge boost in happiness.
That happiness boost will then fuel you to go after your dreams in a bigger way.
And since happiness is really what you're after, why not just start with that?

The Five Day Manifestation Detox to Boost Your Happiness
In just five days, you can go from where you are right now to a happier version of yourself who will, in turn, become better at manifesting the things you want to see in your life. By detoxing from the things that hold you back from feeling good, you will automatically start to feel better.
Here's what you should do each day:

Day 1: Write A Love Letter to Yourself
The first key to happiness is mindset. The biggest thing holding you back is, well, you. And why?
Because there are things you've said, done or been through that have challenged your faith and trust in yourself. Things that have made you angry to the point of not being able to forgive yourself.

So the first thing you'll want to do is write yourself a love letter, as if you were writing to a very good friend. It's time to let go of the anger, recapture the things you love about yourself, and forgive everything else.

Day 2: Clear Your Gut
You know that gut instinct people speak of? It's not only real, but it is so much more on-point when you are supplying it with whole, healthy, raw foods.

Use day two to give your stomach a rest from cooked and even solid food by having a glass of water upon waking, and drinking whole, super-food smoothies throughout the day. Continue to drink plenty of water.

By feeding your body food of this quality, you will feel clearer and more focused. This will allow you to feel more connected to your gut instinct and what it's trying to tell you.
The more connected you are to your gut instinct, the happier you'll be.

Day 3: Feed Your Spirit
Now that you have taken the time to communicate and get in touch with your intuition by changing the food you're eating, today is the day to feed your spirit. This would be a good time to practice saying a positive affirmation, prayer or mantra.

Spend at least 10 minutes reciting it until you can feel the boost of confidence that saying it gives you. Try to inject this exercise into your day as often as possible.

Day 4: Practice Gratitude
I often like to say that gratitude is the prescription to a lifetime of happiness. A great practice for today--and every day--is to make a list of things that you are grateful for.

You can do a gratitude list either first thing in the morning or just before going to bed.
But as with any prescription, some of us need a higher dosage than others. If this sounds like you, try making a list in the morning and at bedtime.

The best thing about this "gratitude prescription," is the side effects and the fact that you can't overdose. The more grateful you are, the happier you'll be.

And the happier you are, the better you'll be at manifesting the things you want in your life.

Day 5: Indulge In Self -Care
It's easy to get caught up in doing so much for others. Parents for their children, husbands for their wives, bosses for their employees. But when you put so much into others and don't make time for yourself, you rob yourself of happiness.

There are different forms of self-care, but some that I love are:
•A warm lavender-salt bath
•A weekly massage
•A pedicure
•Going to see a movie at the theatre
•Spending time with friends
•An intimate lunch with me, myself, and I.

By making self-care a nonnegotiable part of your life, you'll find yourself feeling happy a whole lot more often.

You can repeat this five-day detox whenever you need a feel-good boost, or you can even keep these practices going in your daily life. The more you take time to work on feeling good, the better you'll be at manifesting your dreams into reality.

How do you give yourself a happiness boost?
