It’s so easy to write off your workout if you are a busy entrepreneur trying to grow your business. If you’ve put exercise at the bottom of your list because you can’t figure out how to fit it in, now would be a good time to re-prioritize, since research shows that just 30-minutes a day can help you get more done, not to mention keep off weight gain, and kick stress to the curb.

Not sure how to do that? Here are five workouts to try when you are pressed for time.

Punch, kick, and jab your way towards better flexibility, balance, endurance, and coordination with Kelly. She will get you sweating in no time with this high-intensity, full-throttle workout.

Harvard Medical School estimates that a 155-pound person can burn 372 calories in only 30-minutes by kickboxing. If you want to target your core, back, arms, legs, and glutes, this workout is for you. Plus, you don’t need any equipment, just a big glass of water.

When your schedule is packed just zip through this video which includes moving planks and one-legged squats with only 10 seconds of rest in between. All you need is a yoga mat, a towel, and a bottle of water to complete this workout.

3. Reggae Dancehall Workout by Keaira LaShae

If you like to dance, this 22-minute workout will have you sweating and grooving at the same time. Dancing has numerous benefits and has been shown to improve the condition of your heart and lungs, increase muscular strength and endurance, and reduce the risk of osteoporosis. Studies have shown that dancing also may help improve your memory and keep you from developing dementia as you get older, because aerobic exercise can reverse volume loss in the hippocampus, the part of the brain that controls memory and naturally shrinks during late adulthood.

It’s impossible not to have fun with Kearia’s positive, upbeat energy encouraging you every (dance) step of the way, so crank it up and have some fun while trying out moves like “the canoe” and “grandfather clocks.”

What busy entrepreneur doesn’t need a confidence boost? In just 27-minutes beginners and seasoned yogis alike can add mindfulness and toned muscles to their lives with this practice. Don’t think yoga can be vigorous? Try it, you’ll be a huffing, puffing, sweaty mess in no time. Perfect to do before an event or interview.

Bonus: Yoga has been found to reduce anxiety, because practicing it helps boost the brain chemicals which combat depression and anxiety-related disorders.

Whether you are a regular exerciser or new to it, training to run a 5K (3.1-mile race) is an excellent and achievable fitness goal. It’s affordable, convenient, and a great way to meet new people. To get started all you need is a pair of sneakers!

According to a landmark study in the Journal of American College of Cardiology, running for only 10-minutes a day is associated with a drastically reduced risk of dying from cardiovascular disease. They compared people who never run to people who do so regularly and found that the regular-runners have half the chance of dying from heart disease.

There are excellent apps (many of which are free) that will coach you from start to finish. Most alternate walking with running at the beginning, so you don’t over train, get frustrated (or injured), and want to quit. Using music is a helpful motivator too. Spotify, the free music streaming app, has many playlists that allow you to adjust the tempo to match your stride.

Bottom line - Fitting in a workout isn’t easy for busy entrepreneurs, but it can be done.

Productivity is critical to the success of any entrepreneur. The best way to get more done is to increase your energy, which can be achieved by adding just a few minutes of exercise to your routine a few times a week.

These five workouts will get your started. Which ones will you try?
