Where you are is not who you are
You were not born to just go to work, pay bills and die. You are meant to thrive. Sometimes, though, a path that worked well for you in the past doesn't fit anymore, or maybe you never found the right one to begin with.

Or, you were encouraged to follow a path that is "practical" and "realistic" because that is what you were told responsible people do. Even if it makes them unhappy.

It's OK. This is your journey at your pace and where you are is merely a step along the way.

It's never too late

If where you are is not where you want to be? Keep going, one step at a time, in the direction that calls you.

If you have a critical voice inside saying "I can't" because "it's too late for me to change/start over/try anything new" I'm here to tell you that's a big fat lie that will keep you stuck.

It doesn't matter how old you are or the level of success you've reached or what training you've spent years (and money) completing. You can choose to start doing something different. Even a small change will start to shift your entire trajectory.

Your story is continuously unfolding

We all have a story we tell ourselves (and others) about who we are and what we can do and be. The good news is that your story is not written in stone. Even better, your story is still being written and you are the writer. What story do you want to tell six months from now? A year? You get to create it.

Life happens for you, not to you

Life is full of surprises. Not all are surprises we'd invite if we had a choice. But we are here to grow, and challenges teach us valuable lessons. Sometimes our challenges are the only way we can learn these lessons. It's easy to appreciate the good times, but finding the treasure in the hard times... the insight gained, the new-found strength, the shedding of old baggage, for example... can help you appreciate those parts of your life too.

Your purpose never stops calling you
It's always guiding you. Sometimes you might not notice it because its messages aren't communicated in words. It's an inner knowing of what's right for you.

When you make decisions that go against it, you'll know because you'll feel the off-ness of what you're doing... restlessness, boredom, irritation, get-me-outta-here. These are all forms of suffering, and suffering is your ally because it will never stop directing you to choose something different.

If you feel unsettled, like you're meant for something more in life - that's the inner rumblings of a dream that wants to happen. It awaits your attention.
